The Business Success Awards 2024.

The Business Success Recognition Awards Ceremony, now in its third year, once again took place in Birmingham this past weekend, where nearly 200 people gathered together for some amazing entertainment, a sumptuous dinner, and to celebrate all the nominees, runners-up, and well-deserved winners.

The Awards, the brainchild of BSN’s Stacey Calder, are designed to shine a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals within the UK business community. Open to all businesses, regardless of size or stage, its awards are designed to champion SMEs’ success stories from across the country.

I was a finalist for not one but three awards this time round –

  • Community of the Year (for the Mindset Mastery Movement)
  • Networker of the Year
  • Outstanding Contribution to the BSN Community

So How Did I Get On?

I’m delighted to say that, despite some very tough competition from some amazing fellow finalists, I got Runner-Up for Networker Of The Year!

This is actually the second time getting this one, which I feel is pretty awesome.

Living up in the North East of Scotland, I don’t get too many opportunities for in-person networking, but for the past 5 years I’ve been throwing myself into the wonderful world of online networking, even running some regular meetings (check them out here), and getting to connect with people from around thew world. It’s a fab thing when you throw yourself into it fully, you never know who you will meet, and I guess this all shows I must be doing some aspects of it right.

Visiting the award ceremony itself was something of a marathon trek – around 20 hours of train travel there and back again, but it was worth it to catch up with so many people who I know well but had never previously met in person.

By my reckoning, that brings me to being runner-up in 4 awards and outright winner in 6 awards so far, which is nice.
