This is a weekly podcast, pre-recorded (with minimal editing) via Zoom, in audio and video. Episodes are typically 20-30 minutes.
Half of the episodes (the odd numbered ones at the moment) are solo, where I share insights into various topics around mindset, antimanipulation, personal growth, etc.
The other half of the episodes I have a guest on where we talk about interesting things.
We record it as if it were live, in a single take, which makes for a more spontaneous and interesting show. There’s no pre-scripted questions, no agenda, just two people having a good natured chat about whatever topic we are exploring.
It is available on many different podcast platforms including all the major ones below, and also directly on this site (every episode has its own page).
In a nutshell – anything interesting!
When I have guests on, I’m really just looking to have interesting chats with interesting people about interesting things – just like the good old chat-shows of yesteryear (think Wogan or Parkinson if you are UK-based for an idea)
Possibilities which can make for really interesting episodes include:
Basically, the sort of things which would make for an interesting chat over a cup of tea and a slice of cake if we were hanging out in a cafe.
To save time, here’s a couple of things I’m not looking for –
Nothing wrong with any of those if they are your thing, it’s just not what this show is about.
Once your episode goes live, it is in both our interests to get it as many listens as possible, and this happens when both of us promote it.
Once it is published, I post about it across all the major socials (Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Threads, BlueSky, TikTok, Mastodon, YouTube). If I have your social media handles, I’ll tag you in those posts where possible too. There’ll be a bunch of posts at launch, and periodic posts over the next 24 months to remind people about your episode – over the course of a coupe of years there’ll be over 50 posts across the socials from me promoting YOUR episode.
I’ll also email you with some episode artwork and with the links to your episode on my site and the major podcast platforms for you to share far and wide as often as you wish – remember the more you promote your episode, the more people will listen to it, and the more it will get shared by “the algorithms” which means the greater chance of someone new finding your episode and having a good listen.
Remember, your episode will be available in perpetuity, so it’s worth posting about it from time to time in the future too – use it as a resource to help people get an insight into what you do.
(It’d also be really wonderful if you felt able to subscribe, like, rate, or comment on one of more of the podcast platforms too, but that is entirely up to you of course – although a review would be the most lovely thing you could possibly do; just saying!).
I get it – most of us are in this to make a living, so of course, we do need to promote our wares from time to time.
That’s all cool – in the show I will always ask how people can get in touch with you, and as many links as you want (well, within reason I guess, probably would baulk at including 500 links!) to your socials and websites etc are included in the show notes on your episode’s page – and yes, the are DO FOLLOW links of course, none of this naughty “nofollow” nonsense here!
And, provided it is relevant, we can even make passing reference to a book or a course or something similar you might have – the key being if it is relevant.
It’s not a 30 minute sales pitch, it’s not a full length advert, but if you have something which explores what we’ve discussed in more depth, then of course we can mention that in the episode so interested listeners and viewers can find out more.
And if you don’t want to promote anything in the episode? That’s absolutely cool too – leaves all the more time for us to chat about you!
So, if you think you have an interesting angle or story or experience to share, which fits in with the above, then fill out the form below and pitch your angle.
(You’ll have a far better chance if you give me your specific pitch – go for it! Tell me what you feel we could discuss on this show, what you feel people will get from it, and why my audience would want to hear it)
I look forward to hearing from you!
Be aware that I get a lot of people asking to guest (most of them ignore what I’ve written – if you’ve read all this then you are a lot closer to getting on!), so sometimes it takes me longer to get back to you – sorry!
