Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:00:42]:
Still going strong, 101st episode, 5th series. Who knew? Welcome back. Whether you’re, an existing listener, viewer coming back, or whether you’re this is the 1st episode you’ve ever caught, Whichever it is, you are more than welcome. It’s great to have you here. My name is Keith Blakemore-Noble. I’m the host for your for your show and the host for your series. And as this is the 1st, episode in a brand new series, I thought that, well, I’d introduce me, And I’d introduce the show, and I’d introduce the concept of the show so you get a feel for what the show is about, who the heck I am, why I’m even presenting it. And we can give you, a tiny little glimpse of what’s, what’s gonna be coming in the, in the, in series 5.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:01:31]:
So sit back, relax, and, hopefully, you can enjoy the show. Enjoy the episode. So, yes, as as I said, it is the, 5th 5th series. The premise of the show still remains the same. Half the episodes are solo episodes with me, just you and me, And we’ll be exploring different topics. We’ll be exploring topics around mindset, topics around personal development. I will also be exploring from time to time topics around anti manipulation, which, is Connected in its own way with mindset mastery, it s more of a sort of applied use of mindset mastery, and it s showing you how You can look out for the ways in which some people, unscrupulous people, misuse the tools. The tools which get which can give great benefit to so many of us and help us to master our mindset, can also be misused.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:02:29]:
And that’s what we’re exploring, anti manipulation, Where we take a look at how they misuse it, and how we can protect ourselves against it. We’re gonna take a look at all sorts of, all sorts So as I say, all generally the odd numbered episodes will be just you and I, Having a good old con good old exploration of a particular topic. Please don’t excuse me. And then the even episodes. Even numbered episodes are me and a guest, a different guest, each time. And, we’re gonna be exploring aspects of, of our guests my guests’ lives. We’re gonna be exploring who they are, what makes them who they are, What made them who they are today? What makes them tick? What gets them out of bed in the morning? And we’re gonna be seeing what lessons we can learn from them For our own lives, as well as hopefully uncovering some pretty interesting stories. I’ve got some really, Really great brand new guests lined up.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:03:33]:
And we’ll also revisit 1 or 2 guests from earlier series, We’ll have a catch up with them to see just what’s been going on since we last spoke, where their lives taken them since we last, since we last caught on with them. So that is, that is the the, the way the show is gonna work. Half the episode’s You and me, half the episodes, it’s you, me, and a guest. The thing with the guest episodes, there’s they’re not prescripted. I don’t have a list of Questions, right? I’m going to ask you all of these questions. It’s just me and somebody that, I’ve want To connect with, or that I have connected with, or I want to find out more about, or I want to introduce to you, just them and me having a conversation. So all it is, it’s just 2 of us having a conversation, and you, my fabulous podcast listener, you’re listening in, you’re watching. If you’re watching on YouTube, you’ll see us.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:04:29]:
If you’re, catching it on any of the, other podcast podcast platforms that we’re on, and you’ll be able to to listen to us as we explore different topics and go in-depth. Each episode is going to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, typically. There may be the occasional one where we do go a little bit longer. Sometimes when we have, guests Particular topics, we we will go over slightly, but but not massively. The aim is it’s a nice little bite sized, chunk that that you can listen to, easily without having to carve out a large part of your day. Now what would really help, the podcast is if you can give us likes, give us likes, share the podcast, subscribe to it on your favourite platform, give us reviews and give us, give us likes as well. Reason for this? Why am I begging for all this? Simple fact is the more good reviews a podcast gets, the more likes it gets, the more subscribers it gets, the more those podcast platforms We’ll see it as a podcast that’s worth recommending to other people, and that’s how we grow the show. We we spread word and get it get it out to, to wider audiences.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:05:46]:
So whatever platform you enjoy listening to this on, do give us a subscribe. If it allows you to to to rate the show, or or, or add comments, or or give a review, please do that as well. Well, might even give you a shout out in a in a future episode.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:06:14]:
Who knows? Excuse me. What is what what’s what’s the kind of themes that we explore with, with the podcast? So when I created this podcast, I didn’t want it to be one that was just Come so totally random that it is it’s kinda hard for you to to to to want to come back. And I think we we can probably all think of Some podcasts where they’re just so eclectic, so random. It’s like, well, 1 in 5 episodes might be a topic that’s of interest. Oh, I don’t know. What else I don’t wanna make is is so tightly prescribed that it’s it’s just it appeals to just 1 person. The idea behind the podcast is So we can just explore more about ourselves, more about each other, more about life in general. So it’s it’s all around mindset.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:07:02]:
I mean, That’s that’s what I work in. For the past 13 years, I have used my bespoke custom blend of hypnosis, NLP and coaching to help thousands of people literally around the planet, and help them to help them to create their freedom. So for some, that was helping them to conquer fears or completely overcome phobias. You you name it, I’ve probably helped somebody with that phobia by now. For other people, it’s Overcoming unhelpful habits like maybe smoking or nail biting, that was a that was an interesting one. Great guy, called Brad Burton, he’s, UK’s number one motivational business speaker, very successful, speaking of massive stages, Written, 4 books so far. He had a problem with biting his nails. And you think, well, why is that a problem? But you see the thing is, Anytime he was getting his photo taken, he had to kinda hide his fingernails, which was starting to become more and more of an issue.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:08:12]:
So, Yeah, we work, conquer that in a single session. All those things like people who maybe, common one after lockdown was people who maybe started having the odd glass wine which turned into the odd bottle which turned into 1 every week, so, oh, we need to get this under control. Unhelpful habits, we can Help people conquer those, and also, mindset stuff to help people overcome imposter syndrome, help people to build self confidence, build self belief, overcoming mental blocks and limiting beliefs that they have about themselves, we all have these. And in various episodes, we live we will continue to explore, and we have in the past explored where lots of this stuff comes from. But that’s what I’ve been doing for the past 13 years, helping thousands of people around the planet to master their mindset, basically. And that’s what I love about this show. It’s where I get to connect with lots of different people from all walks of life, there are huge range of life. We’ve had magicians.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:09:14]:
I’ve had, TV actors. I’ve I’ve had, performers. I’ve had rock climbers. I’ve had pretty much, you name it, A huge walk range of of walks of life because everybody’s got everybody has a story. Everybody has, has interesting stuff that’s happened to them. We we often think, People wouldn’t be interested in what’s happened to me. Oh, it’s boring. But think about it.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:09:41]:
What are the probably the most Cut most popular shows on TV? It’s either soap operas, which let’s face it, we sat down watching other people going about their lives in a a scripted way. Or it’s, reality shows where we sat down watching people going about their lives in, I have to say, in a Fairly scripted way. Sorry. Hope that’s not bursting any bubbles. But either way, we’re watching people going about daily life. We we were fascinated by it. Think of what what are some of the most popular magazines in the in the newsagents? It’s the Gossip Mags. We love hearing about other people’s stories.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:10:19]:
We love hearing about other people’s lives, and In a way, that’s what I want to do with this, and what I do do with this podcast. It’s not a gossip mag. We we we don’t set things up, we don’t Indulging gossip, we don’t, we don’t create fake scenarios. But what we do If we explore people’s lives, we explore what makes them tick. We explore what got them to be who they are and where they are today, And see where they where they’re going tomorrow as well. And that’s why sometimes there will be guests who I I bring back On, future series, there’s a few guests we’ve we’ve had on 2 or 3 times because it’s always nice to follow people people’s journeys, See what they’ve what they’ve done, what how they’ve developed, what new things they’ve learned since we last spoke. All that’s a sort of, flavor of what, we capture in the show, Interleaved with episodes around mindset, different facets of mindset, where it all comes from, what’s going on in our Brains, how we can grow and develop ourselves. That’s pretty much what the show is all about.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:11:32]:
Some of my guests, by the way, some of my guests, also record bonus content for us. So we we record some extra behind the scenes stuff. Could be anecdotes, could be exploring a little bit more depth into one of the topics that they that we that we touch on. Could be all all manner of things. We got all sorts of things recorded. And, I’m incredibly grateful and thankful for every single one of you who helped support the podcast by being a Patreon supporter. Now that’s a bit about the show, about, what’s coming up, etcetera. I’ve told you a little bit about who I well, I’ve told you almost nothing. I’ve told you what I do, that, what I’ve done for the past 13 years to help people. Give you a really, really, really quick, brief overview of who I am, where I come from, and what got me to where I am today so that we can feel a little bit more connected as as as we go forward. So my name is Keith Blake Manubal. As I record this in 2023, I’m fifty 7 years old.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:12:55]:
I was born at a very young age, up in, Northeast of Scotland. Grew up there, spent the 1st few years, We lived pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Went to a small village about the age of 5. Went to school there, Because I spent the 1st few years pretty much in the middle of nowhere, I didn’t really learn how to interact that well and connect that well with people. So I was Incredibly shy, very painfully shy. But I did well at school, went on to university, graduated from university, I found my way into IT, had a great career in IT. It’s brilliant for people who are a bit shy, A bit, nervous of, of meeting people because you get to do it all from behind a computer. Yay.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:13:43]:
Great job for it. So I did that. I did that for Many about 20 years, I think, in IT. And what I loved about it is really honing and refining your skills, your ability to analyze what’s going on, Figure out why things aren’t working, figure out what to do to to to fix it, to get it to work, how to upgrade, how to reprogram, how to get the best out of, out out of it out of it all. I was I absolutely loved that. But I was still painfully shy. So in the end, I, bet you had a a panic attack, after I foolishly went to a Christmas party, had a massive panic attack, and decided, you know what? You can’t go on through life like this. What’s life gonna be like if you do nothing about it? It’s gonna suck.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:14:33]:
Something has to change. And for me, that something was, Immersing myself in NLP, hypnosis, coaching, learned professional speaking, all of that so that I could Conquer my own stuff. And boy did it work. Absolutely loved doing it. Redundancy then loomed in the IT world, and I transitioned to, being a coach, helping, helping people to reprogram their minds, to upgrade their minds. Figure out what’s going on and what we need to do Help them change their life, and move in the direction they want, get rid of those blocks that hold them back. So, yeah, I’ve been doing that for for 13 years. It was really cool.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:15:16]:
I, And she ended up living in in Bali for 18 months. Because the person who ran the company that I trained with, They went off to Bali to set up set up, from scratch, basically. Decided to be cool to set up set up, build everything up from scratch again. Just have a great time hanging out in Bali. They knew I knew I done IT. And they Asked me to come out. I said, oh, well, okay. I’ll come out for 3 months, help you get stuff set up, and then I’m going back to the UK to do my own stuff.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:15:47]:
They were, yeah. That’s fine. That’s fine. Went out there. Absolutely loved it there. Ended up, presenting and training some of their content, in Singapore. It was it was the first one. Absolutely loved it.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:16:01]:
Decided, you know what? I’m just I’m gonna stick around. We worked together for for 18 years, So I got to teach, train people, certify people in hypnosis, NLP coaching, public speaking, All of these tools, in Malaya, sorry, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore, Indonesia, we led it to the group of people to, Nepal on a a 2 week, exploration expedition around Nepal and Tibet, which was which was fascinating. Saw the, saw the old home of the the Dalai Lamas, and Oh, man. All sorts of stuff. Great fun. Absolutely loved it. Even got the chance to to to do some training and, teaching people in Los Angelis and also New York, I got to speak on the stage from the, of the Cooper’s Union, the Great Hall of Cooper’s Union. That was that was awesome.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:16:56]:
And then it was time to come back, came back to the UK, and, which that would have been probably around 2015. Been here ever since. Moved back up to the northeast of Scotland, which is where I was born, where I grew up, I went to school, so I’m now living about 50 miles away from where I grew up, still got family and friends up here. It’s a much slower pace of life, much more relaxed pace of life than than than down south. Before that, before moving to Bali, I’d actually lived Near London for for many, many years. And, that’s what I do. Most of the clients that I work with, We do it through Zoom. That was if something good came from the pandemic of 2020.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:17:43]:
It was everybody realizing, This is what Zoom is. Oh, it works. Oh, it’s cool, which made my life so much easier. Because, yeah, all of these all of these stuff, NLP, hypnosis, It works brilliantly through through Zoom, because there’s no need for any physical interaction. It’s it’s all done by voice. In fact, I would say in many cases, it works out better over Zoom because If you’re a client, you you don’t have the hassle of of trying to find an office, find somewhere to park, and find the person’s office, and get there, and then Think, oh, how well will I remember where I parked the car? Is the meter gonna run out? Or will the trains or buses be on time? You don’t have any of that hassle. You just get to do it from the comfort of your own home, where you’re comfortable, you can relax, you feel safe, you feel secure. You’ll relax more in into it all.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:18:40]:
You get far more powerful results. So, yeah, that works works pretty well. When I’m not doing this sort of stuff, I love, well, you know, when I was young, one of the things I always wanted to be I always wanted to be a, an actor or a musician Or sorry. An actor, a musician, or a hypnotist, or an author? Hypnotist, tick that one off. Author, I’ve actually written and published 6 books so far. I’ve got another 3 books at various stages of development on the hard drive. Who knows which, which one of those is gonna is gonna decide it’s time to to, to be, to be released? I’ve given up herding them shepherding them. I just Let the books tell me when it’s time to to write 1 and and and release it.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:19:25]:
So who knows what what book 7 will be? Actor, performer. I, you know, I I love taking part in local local theater. Do that purely as a hobby. Brilliant fun. Absolutely love it. Get to sing, dance, sometimes at the same time. And also, from time to time, do magic and hypnosis stage shows, Again, partly because I just love it so much. It’s great fun.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:19:53]:
Also, it’s a good way for people to get to see, hypnosis 1st to have, in in real life. What’s the difference between stage hypnosis and therapy hypnosis? The only difference is the intended outcome. With therapy, the intention is to make long lasting permanent change that the person wants. In, stage environment, the intention is just to have a a short period of a bit of fun. It’s almost like pretend, imagine pretend playing. Like, you know, like we used to do as kids when we were young kids. It’s basically unleashing all of that. But you’re using the same tools, the same same everything, same tools, same approach.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:20:39]:
So, it’s the same stuff. It’s just what the intention is. Yeah. So I I that’s what I get up to, and, I’m not doing that. I guess favorite thing is is reading. I absolutely love reading sci fi. My 3 favorite sci fi authors would have to be, in no particular order, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, and Peter F. Hamilton.
Keith Blakemore-Noble [00:21:03]:
Those are my 3 all time favorites. Absolutely love reading sci fi. I always have done right from right from when I was a kid. Love that sort of thing. Yeah. That’s probably enough of me waffling about me for now. Gives you a little bit of a flavor there.
