In his own words, here is what Shamus covers –  
*My journey and why I done it. Not that everyone will start a journey and become a PT however it’s more the confidence it gave me to make that change and be more positive. Also the majority of those I aim to help are those that I can identify with as I have experienced the very same pain points that they have.*

## About My Guest

Shamus is from Staines Upon thames on the outskirts of leafy Surrey, but with a gust of wind….Heathrow. Shamus is married to a nurse and has five children (satellite reception was poor….5 times 😉) Shamus has always been active, various sports including being an England Table a tennis player during teenage years. Always played football though weirdly after getting married put on weight. Shamus then one day stepped on scales and was horrified at the number. It wasn’t that shamus wasn’t eating your typical healthy foods, there was always lots of salad and veg it was just the crisps, cakes, sweets and takeaways (often on the way home from football) that done the damage. Shamus decided enough was enough so began taking control of his food intake and upped his exercise regime. During this time a friend suggested that Shamus should be a PT as he was helping a wife’s friend lose weight and so there it was a career change. After almost 20 years in the motor trade Shamus made the move and and as of September last year he qualified as a PT. Shamus can help in various ways for health and fitness however weight loss or more specifically fat loss is his speciality as he has done this himself. Shamus also used to be gymphobic so based his training outside of the gym to help those who are in the same boat.
