This is a weekly podcast, pre-recorded (with minimal editing) via Zoom, in audio and video. Episodes are typically 20-30 minutes.
It is available on all the top tier podcast platforms including Apple Podcast, Amazon Music, Audible, Google Podcast, Spotify, YouTube, as well as many others and also directly here at this very site. It also often features exclusive additional bonus content purely for Patreon supporters.
Interesting guests with that little “something different” to help listeners and viewers see the world from new angles.
Possibilities which can make for really interesting episodes include –
I’m looking out for new and interesting perspectives, experiences, and stories which we can share, from which we can draw inspiration, and which encourage is to consider how differently our own life can turn out.
To save time, here’s a couple of things I’m not looking for –
Nothing wrong with any of those if they are your thing, it’s just not what this show is about.
Once your episode goes live, it is in both our interests to get it as many listens as possible, and this happens when both of us promote it.
Once it is published, I post about it across all the socials (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, TikTok). If I have your social media handles, I’ll tag you in those posts where possible too.
I’ll also email you with some episode artwork and with the links to your episode on my site and the major podcast platforms (Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, Audible, Amazon Music, Spotify, YouTube, etc) for yuou to share far and wide as often as you wish – remember the more you promote your episode, the more people will listen to it, and the more it will get shared by “the algorithms” which means the greater chance of someone new finding your episode and having a good listen.
Remember, your episode will be available in perpetuity, so it’s worth posting about it from time to time in the future too – use it as a resource to help people get an insight into what you do.
(It’d also be really wonderful if you felt able to subscribe, like, rate, or comment on one of more of the podcast platforms too, but that is entirely up to you of course).
I get it – most of us are in this to make a living, so of course, we do need to promote our wares from time to time.
That’s all cool – in the show I will always ask how people can get in touch with you, and as many links as you want (well, within reason I guess, probably would baulk at including 500 links!) to your socials and websites etc are included in the show notes on your episode’s page – and yes, the are DO FOLLOW links of course, none of this naughty “nofollow” nonsense here!
And, provided it is relevant, we can even make passing reference to a book or a course or something similar you might have – the key being if it is relevant.
It’s not a 30 minute sales pitch, it’s not a full length advert, but if you have something which explores what we’ve discussed in more depth, then of course we can mention that in the episode so interested listeners and viewers can find out more.
And if you don’t want to promote anything in the episode? That’s absolutely cool too!
Some of my guests love to also record a short (just a few minutes) of bonus exclusive content for my Patreon supporters.
Examples include sharing anecdotes, or sharing a deeper insight into an area of their life or experience, or covering additional content we don’t get to cover in the main episode, or even just having a chat about a different topic of your choice. You can see some of the topics we covered here on Patreon itself (although you won’t be able to watch the videos unless you are a supporter, alas).
There is absolutely no obligation to do this, of course! If you are interested in sharing some bonus content, that will be awesome – on the other hand, if that’s not something which appeals to you, that’s absolutely fine too, of course!
So, if you think you have an interesting angle or story or experience to share, which fits in with the above, then fill out the form below (there’s 9 questions in total), pitch your angle, and let’s chat.
(You’ll have a far better chance if you give me your specific pitch – go for it! Tell me what you feel we could discuss on this show, what you feel people will get from it, and why my audience would want to hear it)
I look forward to hearing from you!
Be aware that I get a lot of people asking to guest (most of them ignore what I’ve written – if you’ve read all this then you are a lot closer to getting on!), so sometimes it takes me longer to get back to you – sorry!
Another way you can use this podcast to gain more attention is by sponsoring it for a month – you get your own advert in each episode for that month, plus a link and a mention in all the shownotes that month and, where possible, in the episode promotional posts too. If that sounds more your thing, then check out the details here.
