The Law of Attraction is the name given to the maxim “like attracts like”. It is often turned into the idea that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life. This belief is based on the idea that people and their thoughts are both made from “pure energy”, and the belief that “like energy attracts like energy.”
But is there anything to this “Law”? What’s actually going on? And why do so many people who apply it seem to get no clear results?
In this episode, Keith is joined by Clinical Hypnotherapist and Meetup Maestro Matt Kendall who recently gave a very well received talk in London on this very topic, but not in the way you might imagine or expect!
Matt shares some of the results and insights from his research into this Law. We will be exploring a balanced and researched discussion on a range of personal development techniques, including taking a long, hard look at the Law of Attraction itself, and a whole lot more besides.
Among the topics covered in this exciting and interesting episode are –
- Is it actually a “Law”?
- Why do some seem to get great results and others nothing, when they do the same thing?
- What do peer reviewed articles, statistics, and scientific research have to tell us about the subject?
- What is wrong with the Personal Development industry, and what does that have to do with the Law of Attraction?
- What are some practical, real-world, steps which one can take to enable one to change?
