I was booked to appear at a fundraising Chartity Gala for our local Moray Group of the Riding for the Disabled Association, who I was delighted to help. I was fortunate enough to have 4 excellent volunteers joining me on stage, and we went through a few fun routines. Including one I wrote specifically for this event tying it in with a recent big Royal visit they’d had, as you can see in this video of some of the highlights (cut down from the full 1 hour set).
A demonstration of hypnosis on stage which I performed as part of a fairly short session at Addiscombe Social Club.
This one features three rapid inductions (of two different types), and 3 different quick routines to give a small taster of what you can do with groups, and to show the fun of having one participant thoroughly confused as to what they are supposed to be doing!
I was recently invited to do a talk at Matt Kendall’s Interesting Talks on Hypnosis. This is a short extract from that evening, in which a volunteer from the audience is taken through a Rapid Induction, and then hypnotised to forget the number 3 even exists – what makes this even more fun is that the subject has a degree in Mathematics (I discovered afterwards that she actually has 3 post-graduate degrees in Mathematics)!
Some more street hypnosis fun, including arm catalepsy, feet stuck to the floor (despite waving £50 in front of him!), and a complete inability to understand a word of English.
Thanks to a wonderful volunteer for being such a great sport
This is an extract from a 30 minute hypnosis show I was asked to do for a birthday party. We had two wonderful volunteers who provided a lot of entertainment for the guests, and you can get a flavour of what happened here.
Because of the limitations of space, I didn’t have the participants do anything which required standing up or moving around, but as you can see that didn’t stop them from having a lot of fun!
Wandering around Richmond on a lovely sunny afternoon, I thought I’d record some of the street magic card tricks I do (as many people have been asking for demos). This is the result! It’s a single trick. Two camera angles, but there are absolutely no camera cuts or edits during the trick itself, what you see is absolutely how it appears live.
Thanks to my wonderful volunteer for allowing this to be filmed.
Welcome to Keith’s magical hypnotic world, providing fun hypnotic entertainment for all, on the stages and in the streets of the world.
I’m the bow-tie wearing, award-winning, Radio Host, Hypnotist, Phobia Expert, Confidence Alchemist, Best-selling Author, International Speaker, and occasional magician Keith Blakemore-Noble.
Having taught, performed, and spoken on stages around the globe in UK, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal, Tibet, and USA, I’m now back home and based in Elgin.
I am trained to master practitioner level in NLP and hypnosis, and I’ve been using hypnosis since 2010 – both to help people conquer phobias and reclaim their confidence (I particularly specialise in helping performers to transform their deepest fears into their greatest strengths), and for fun and entertainment.
When it comes to magic, I was lucky enough to be personally trained by the late great Paul Daniels.
Whether performing on the stage or in the streets, my primary concern is always for the well-being of the participants at all times. I always ensure that everything they are asked to do is safe. I am highly respectful of all who volunteer, and never ask them to do anything with which they are uncomfortable. This enables the participants to relax and take part more fully, which in turn enables the audience to truly enjoy the (always family-friendly) show.
For that extra-special party, or to add a unique fun element to your next fund-raiser, get in touch to discuss what you have in mind. Then prepare to enter the wonderful world of HypnoTainment where it truly is all in your mind!
An ideal for of entertainment for your wedding guests after the speeches are over and before the dancing starts!
Combining a selection of magic tricks and hypnosis-based routines designed to delight and entertain all ages, Keith tailors his performance to fit your needs, wishes, and likes.
He will discuss your requirements in advance, find out a bit more about the happy couple and their guests, and use this to tailor a unique show specifically for you and your guests, where you and your guests get to be the stars of the show!
Looking for something a little different to help raise money for your charity?
Look no further…
Perhaps, like the Moray RDA, you are looking for a “stage” act to provide an entertaining mix of magic and hypnosis to your entire audience, or perhaps like McDonalds you are looking for someone to do more close-up table-to-table magic, Keith can offer entertainment to suit your audience, your timing, and your budget!
What a fantastic evening we all had last night, and I wanted to write and thank you for all the you did to make it the success it was.
I, like many others, had been slightly dubious about “your side” of the evening. I have always ben fascinated by hypnotism and keen to take part if the opportunity arose but there was also that slight fear factor mixed in with a large dose of doubt. All that you truly blew out of the water! I was gripped – I still don’t understand what I saw happen in front of my eyes or how/why it happened but I was amazed, I really was
I also haven’t laughed so much for a long time. Lynne showing Princess Anne Blair, Ella’s Martian ambassador, Hayley’s slow-motion jelly-walk and her husband’s “She’s got my scarf!!” will keep me chuckling for a while!!
The money the evening raised will be invaluable Keith and on behalf of the whole group and the riders can I thank you for giving your time so generously. It was a great evening and your part was HUGE so thank you very very much indeed.

Keith (HypnoTainment) you put on an amazing show!
Wow, unbelievable. Keith you are amazing!
Very interesting and fun evening – had a really good time! Thanks Keith!
Just saw Keith, we had HypnoTainment to last us a lifetime but we want more! People just did whatever Keith told them to do, it was unbelievable. Unbelievable!
I have just had the experience of being one of those hypnotised on stage for fun by Keith Blakemore-Noble. I would recommend him and the experience. It was quite a trip!!!
Absolutely brilliant! Fab night! Haven’t laughed so much in ages! Xx
I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was really entertaining – to get my wife up and to do the things he did was brilliant!
I really enjoyed tonight’s performance by Keith – it was a lot of fun and he did a really good job!
What Is Hypnosis?
hypnosis [hip-noh-sis] noun, plural hypnoses [hip-noh-seez]
an artificially induced trance state resembling sleep, characterized by heightened susceptibility to suggestion.
Hypnosis is nothing more than being in a state of trance, whereby your conscious is bypassed and the hypnotist speaks direction to your unconscious. While in this state, you are in a very good position to receive and accept suggestions, which is why hypnosis is a common tool in therapy and coaching, as well as a good source of entertainment on the stage.
What Does Being In Trance Feel Like?
People often expect to feel “zoned out” or asleep or “other worldly” when in trance.
Which is not what happens at all. Trace is, simply, a deeply relaxed state where you are focused on a single thing (usually the hypnotist’s voice). You may still have an awareness of what’s going on around you (people often describe it as “I was aware of what was happening, I just wasn’t interested or paying attention to any of it”), and you’ll usually remember some or even all of what happened. It is not like sleep.
What If I Can't Come Out Of Trance?
Buddhist monks devote their entire lives to attempting to attain such deep levels of relaxation and remain in them forever, and even they can not manage that, they will sooner or later come back out of their trances. So you have nothing to worry about.
If at any time you decide you want to come out of trance, you’ll come out of trance – be it because you are not comfortable with what is happening, or there is some emergency.
Who Can't Be Hypnotised?
In the context of a stage show, there are a few categories of people who should not be hypnotised for reasons of safety (theirs, the audience’s and mine) –
- Anyone who is pregnant
- Anyone under the heavy influence of alcohol
- Anyone under the influence of illicit drugs
- Anyone on prescription medication
- Anyone with physical injuries
Also, for legal reasons, nobody under the age of 18 may be hypnotised (although they can safely enjoy the show from their seat in the audience).
Who Can Be Hypnotised?
For stage hypnosis, anyone who is not listed above. For therapy hypnosis, anyone.
I Can't Be Hypnotised
Everyone is able to be hypnotised – if they want to be.
The truth of the matter is if you do not want to be hypnotised, then you won’t go into trance. Simple as that.
So yes, if you do not want to be hypnotised then you won’t be – which means if you don’t want to be hypnotised then please don’t volunteer to come up on stage! There is nothing more boring for the rest of the audience than for someone to volunteer with the aim of not being hypnotised, you’ll just kill the mood for everyone else, and the audience won’t appreciate you for it. Better for you to sit back in the audience and enjoy the show!
I've Never Been In Hypnosis / Trance Before.
Everyone enters a natural state of trace every day. Actually, at least twice a day usually – just before falling asleep, and just as you waken up. Most people easily enter a form of trance while at the movies, watching TV, driving long distance, or while reading a good book – if you’ve ever been reading a book and been so engrossed in it that you don’t notice someone entering the room, only to leap out of your skin when they say something – that’s a state of trace!
What If The Hypnotist Makes Me Do Something I Don't Want To Do?
They can’t! No hypnotist can. Ever.
The person who is in control in trance is you! No hypnotist can ever make someone do something with which they feel uncomfortable or which goes against their morals (indeed, when you are in trance you are under the direct “control” of your unconscious mind, which is the most moral part of your being). You won’t do anything that goes against your morals, you won’t disclose treasured secrets, and any time you feel that you are being forced to do something against your will you will either not do it, or you’ll simply drop back out of trance.
You are in control at all times – indeed, it is perhaps the ultimate state of self-control!
Will You Make Me do Embarassing Things I'll Regret?
The entire aim of any of my shows if for everyone to fully enjoy themselves, both audience and participants alike. This means that at no time will I ask you to do anything which will embarrass you or anything which you will regret.
Yes, people will do daft things on stage, and that’s all part of the fun, but it is all done with the well-being of the participants uppermost in mind – after all, without participants there is no show!
Are Your Shows Suitable For Children?
My shows are designed to be entertaining for the whole family. there’s no vulgarity or crude tricks used, so everyone can enjoy them including children.
The only point to remember is that for legal reasons, people under the age of 18 may not be hypnotised for entertainment, but they can absolutely enjoy the show from their seat in the audience.
Are You A Qualified Hypnotist?
Yes. I qualified as a Master Practitioner of Hypnosis in 2010 (which I have been using for coaching and therapy ever since), and I have continued to learn, study and train in more advanced hypnotic techniques and skills ever since (and I plan to continue so to do for the rest of my days – its a fascinating subject and I absolutely love it!)
I’ve also been training and certifying other people in various hypnotic skills since 2013.
What's The Difference Between Stage Hypnosis And Clinical Hypnosis?
They use the same techniques and they work on exactly the same principles.
The only difference is the intention of the outcome. For clinical, coaching and therapy, the intent is to help the client to make positive changes; for stage, the intention is for the participant and the audience both to enjoy themselves and have a thoroughly entertaining time.
I Have a Problem, Can You Help Me?
During the show, that’s not possible.
However, if you do wish to seek coaching or other help, then I am a fully qualified in hypnosis, NLP and various other techniques and I have helped many people in that way. The best thing to do is pop along to my coaching site at The Confidence Alchemist, and take things from there, or drop me a line to arrange a chat to explore things further.
Can You Teach Me Hypnosis?
I am a qualified trainer of Hypnosis, and I have taught and certified many people in the UK, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam since 2013. I do run Hypnosis training courses from time to time, or I’d be happy to discuss bespoke training if that was more your thing. Get in touch if you want to have a chat about it.
Hypnosis - Isn't That Just All In The Mind?
