## What Is Buyer’s Remorse?

Imagine you have just bought something.

It doesn’t matter what, just that you bought it, and you were probably quite excited to buy it – it’s just what you were looking for, it’s just what you always wanted (without realising it).

Well done, a great purchase!

However…

The next day, or a few days later, you start to think “Why did I buy this?”

The shine has gone off the purchase.

You probably didn’t really need it now you come to think about it. Perhaps that money could have been put to better use.

Indeed, a you think more carefully about this purchase, you begin to realise you probably never really even wanted it in the first place, it just seemed like such a great idea at the time.

*Sounds familiar?*

**You’ve just experienced Buyer’s Remorse!**

## Why do we experience it?

It’s all down to our Strategies – those little programs we run in our unconscious mind.

We have strategies for pretty much everything, including strategies to tell us it’s time to buy something.

We also have strategies which tell us whether we are satisfied with what we buy.

Usually, those are in congruence with each other – the journey which feeds our buying strategy also satisfies our “Still happy with this purchase” strategy.

**However**.

What happens if we are somehow manipulated into making the purchase?

I don’t mean coerced at gunpoint!

I’m referring to something altogether more subtle yet ultimately just as unpleasant.

You see, there are many different ways of manipulating our decisions, our desires, and our feelings.

And sadly, some less-than-scrupulous individuals or companies know these techniques and employ them very well to manipulate us into buying what we don’t actually want.

Fortunately, if you are aware of these techniques, you can arm yourself against them and prevent yourself from falling foul of these tricks.

**Which is why I am currently writing a book exposing these tricks and techniques**, showing how they work, how they are used, and more importantly showing you how you can protect yourself against them.

Of course, *I’m not going to finish it or publish it if there’s no interest, so let me know* – is this something you think you might find interesting? Is it worth me continuing to write?

**Let me know** in the comments, or via the Socials.

And meanwhile, just make sure when you buy something, that you are buying it because YOU want to…
